SnS Design CEO Nisha Sawhney Featured Panelist and Judge/Host on Manufacturing at Inventor Showcase

Nisha Sawhney — "The Woman Who Could Design Anything, And Did" and Founder/CEO of SnS Design, Inc. of a Product design and development firm in New York City, as well as an industrial designer who develops successful consumer products that sell — will be a featured panelist and judge/host at the The Inventor Showcase virtual event on Friday, October 21.

At the live virtual event Sawhney will serve as a panelist during the 9 AM segment on manufacturing and then again as a judge/host during the 4 PM all-star session that selects finalists. Two winners will have the opportunity to pitch their products live to key decision makers in HSN, QVC and Allstar Products in the 2023 National Hardware Show in Las Vegas.

New York City-based Sawhney is a female entrepreneur who knows how to guide and support other entrepreneurs, startups, businesses, manufacturers, and Fortune 500 companies in conceptualization and the development of medical devices, consumer products and electronics, home appliances, and IoT technology solutions that propel change and revolutionize industry.

An inventor in her own right, Sawhney has rolled out a long list of successful product design from concept to production at SnS Design — most recently designing the iPill dispenser. Her Product design services and product development services includes:

  • Mechanical design and engineering
  • Electrical design and engineering
  • Patent-related support
  • Branding, packaging, graphics, point of purchase, 3D renderings, animations
  • Pre-sale presentation
  • Prototype, manufacturing, fulfillment

The iPill dispenser is a remarkable device that is positioned as a potential global solution to the opioid epidemic. SnS Design stepped in after a previous firm was unable to meet the design project challenges and Sawhney not only completed design of the iPill on time and on budget, but suggested many enhancements that improved the tamper-resistant device's functionality.

Thinking globally is a trademark of SnS Design. Sawhney consistently converts ideas into marketable products by embracing a holistic philosophy of innovation that is grounded in thorough market research. The result is a proven success rate with clients not only in the U.S., but the UK, Switzerland, Japan, Israel, India, Brazil, Argentina, Italy, Hong Kong, and China.

Sawhney has served as a project manager handling product design and development for clients that include Zipz wine — which was the biggest deal in Shark Tank history — as well as Haier, LG, Whirlpool, Westinghouse, Amana, Amcor, Edi-Baur, Rosco, LiFeng, Temptu, and many more.

Sawhney has been featured as a:

  • Juror for a decade at The International Consumer Electronics Show (CES);
  • Panelist and speaker at CES events;
  • Focus group and product design expert volunteer who helps MAKE48 inventors;
  • Coach of MBA students at New York University, high school students at Teen Design Fair, and underprivileged female youth; and
  • Guest CEO profiled on WCBS Newsradio 880 AM's "CEO Radio With Ray Hoffman," MAKE48 (PBS show), among other media opportunities.

Nisha was valedictorian with a master’s in Industrial design and bachelor’s in architecture. She has been awarded utility and design patents for consumer and medical products.
